Ways to help...

Interns Needed

Graphic/Web Design Intern Needed (no coding necessary):

Rock School, a non-profit music education program for teens and pre-teens needs a new and fun look for our website.  This is an unpaid, temporary position.  We do not need a webmaster, just a new design.  The designer will be able to credit him/herself on the website as well as gain a reference from a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization.  This will be a wonderful resume builder!

Our current website (www.rock-school.org) is getting full and we need room to add more pages.  All of the content will remain the same, but we need a more concise presentation.  Along with everything that is presented on our current website, we will also need more pages for photos, music, & merchandise.  If you look at our current website, you will see that we are running out of header room and by adding these pages, it will get very cluttery.  We're trying to solve that problem.  We also would like the website to look more hip, vibrant and real with integrated photos of students and a sharp, distinct 'Rock and Roll' look.

As the designer, you will work with our hosting service, www.RockBandSites.com, to come up with something that will work within the scope of their client updating system.  We have plenty of graphics and pictures that you will be able to use, but you can certainly design your own material.

All we are really looking for is a template that we can use over most of the pages.  You will not even have to code it, just design it in Adobe Photoshop.  Rock Band Sites will encode the graphics into their system so that it can be updated by us.

Band 101 Interns Needed:

We are looking for outgoing, kid-friendly interns to help with our Band 101 class.  Applicants will be expected to have some teaching experience, knowledge of rock music performance, and must have been in a band for 3 or more years.  For more info on our Band 101 class, click here.
